Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms 

By accessing or using the App, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are using the App on behalf of another person (e.g., a minor or dependent), you represent that you have the authority to act on their behalf and accept these Terms for them.

2. Purpose and Functionality of the App 

The App allows you to:

  • Connect to participating healthcare providers to download, and view your medical records using FHIR-compliant APIs.

  • Aggregate health data from multiple sources, such as electronic health records (EHRs), wearables, and patient portals, into a single platform.

  • Share selected health data with healthcare providers or other authorized parties with your explicit consent.

  • Track and manage personal health information, such as medications, lab results, immunizations, and vital signs.

The App is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for medical decisions.

3. Eligibility and Account Registration

To use the App, you must:

  • Create an account using an email address or use "Login with Google" or "Login with Apple". 

  • Provide valid credentials for any third-party patient portals (e.g., healthcare provider logins) to enable data integration. Your patient portal credentials are not stored by YownHealth. 

  • Maintain the security of your account by protecting your login credentials and not sharing them with others.

You are responsible for all activities conducted under your YownHealth account. Notify us immediately at support@yownhealth.com email] if you suspect unauthorized access.

We use your email to establish your account login and to send notifications and reset your password if required.  

  • If you leave a rating for a medication for procedure you have received, we store the medication or procedure name along with a rating value and an anonymous UUID.  

  • To Communicate With You: To send you information related to our services, respond to your inquiries, and notify you of changes or updates.

  • For Legal Purposes: To comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell or share any of your personal information with any third parties.

5. Data Security

We implement a variety of security measures including encryption at rest and in transit as well as data obfuscation to ensure the safety of your personal information. We do not store your name or address or any medical record data on our servers. Your medical record is stored securely on your phone and thus it's not possible to have a large scale data data breach involving medical record data.

6. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights:​

  • Correction: Request corrections to any inaccurate or incomplete data.

  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain conditions.

  • Opt-Out: Unsubscribe from our marketing communications at any time.​

7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We reserve the right to use cookies and similar tracking technologies to analyze trends, administer the website, track users' activity or gather demographic information.

8. Changes to the Terms of Use

We may update the Terms of Use Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and we will notify you of significant changes via email or through our website.
